Grilled Sea Bass

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Quite an old recipe of mine I thought I’d share because it’s quick, easy and simple, just the way we like it!

I sort of whipped this up one day while I was at home and used what was at my disposal, so in terms of seasoning, start in small quantities and add more as desired, there are not any specific measurements- I had 6 fillets so bear this in mind when adjusting your quantities

  • Sea Bass Fillets
  • Garlic Powder- 1 tbsp
  • Paprika- 1 tbsp
  • Butter- 3 tbsp
  • Garlic Cloves- 2 cloves
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Lemon
  • Onion powder/granules
Optional Ingredients:
  • Black Pepper- 1 tbsp
  • Mixed herbs- 1 tbsp
  • Dill- 1 tbsp

Lets get cooking…

1: Wash your fillets and pat dry then place on a tray ready for the grill

2: In a small bowl, mix together your garlic powder, paprika, onion powder and a pinch of salt and then sprinkle this on the fillets. Then sprinkle the juice from the lemon all over the fillets

3: Melt your butter and chopped garlic cloves on low heat, mix any remaining seasoning into this to create a paste and use this to coat the skin of the fillets- I find this helps to keep the seasoning on the fish rather than transferring onto the foil once it has been tuned over again, but this could be done to both sides if you prefer it to the previous step

4: Drizzle the fillets lightly with olive oil. Place the fish in the grill and leave each side for at least 7 minutes until golden then serve as desired, I chose to serve mine with some coconut rice, the recipe for this can be found here

 My ingredients for the rice:

I have also served this previously with some creamy mashed potatoes and garlic butter green beans, if you would like a recipe for the green beans leave a comment below.

 Enjoy, Tisha x
