The 2nd Birthday Edition! Like many, I had extremely high expectations and I wasn’t terribly disappointed.
Jelly Pong Pong- Fairy Lashes Mascara (£15)
Doesn’t compare to my all-time favourite L’Oreal Voluminous and isn’t any better than the much cheaper Maybelline Great Lash Mascara- it also clumps quite easily and I find it quite heavy on my lashes. Not impressed at all.
La Roche-Posay- Anthelios XL SPF 50+ Dry Touch Gel Cream (£16.50)
We haven’t been graced with much sun this year, but the box doesn’t lie- no white marks, light, scent-free, smooth application with a dry finish.
Beautiful Movements Cosmetics- Prime & Create Mixing Medium (£20)
Not much of a foundation wearer, this is the first primer I have ever used, but I did enjoy the results, especially on areas of oily skin to provide a matte finish.
Headline Colours- Poolside Party Nail Polish (£9)
Not a fan of gold nail polishes but this metallic colour Glamour in a full size bottle looked much better on my nails than I had first anticipated. Not immune to common chipping though and the application wasn’t as smooth as I would have liked.
Stone Beauty- Body Lotion (£10)
A simple and light body lotion: soft, smooth and soothing, it does the job but is lacking the wow factor that would make me willing to pay the given price.
Glossy Box Mini Nail Files
Perfect size- can easily be slipped into your purse to make sure you are always prepared for those unfortunate emergencies and come in a fun bright pink colour.
Overall, I was pleased to find that I could use all the products in the box, and many were products that I was currently planning to purchase from different brands, it was fun to experiment and although the standard was not as high as that of the products in my April box, once again, this box was worth much more than what I paid for it- 4 times more!
