Review: July Glossy Box

A beach inspired box to get us ready for our travels- the bright turquoise only added to my summer holiday excitement!

SPRAY MISTY FOR ME FACIAL SPRITZ

Anatomicals- Spray Misty For Me Facial Spritz (£6)
I fell in love after my first spray! Light, fresh and calming, it is the first face mist of any sort that I have used and I will definitely be repurchasing. The full size product found its way into my cosmetic bag on my recent travels and was used every single day, whether it was to refresh my make-up, wake me up after a deep morning cleanse, or when I just felt hot, bothered and sticky. It does exactly what it says on the bottle and the price is more than reasonable- there is nothing to dislike.

sleek sticks

Essie- Sleek Sticks (£9.99)
I love the Essie brand, but I’m not a fan of stick on nails in any form. They were easy to use and looked pretty nice, good enough to convince me to use this product again if for some reason I wanted stick on nail art. After taking a look at their website, I wouldn’t mind trying some of their other designs. Mine lasted about a week which is pretty good considering how many dishes I wash without gloves, but the question stands, would I repurchase? No, £10 out of my purse for a week’s worth of a funky nail design isn’t really my style.

Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist

Alterna- Bamboo Style Boho Waves Tousled Texture Mist (£23)
Unfortunately, I did not use this product because of my hair type. It’s becoming quite frustrating and I’m sure I’m not alone in my thoughts. Glossybox really need to ask customers what type of hair people have rather than just the condition of their hair, my subscription entitles me to five beauty products a month but for the second month in a row I have only received four that I can actually use. No use, no rating. I would much rather have received a Ciate nail polish!

Sleek- Pout Paint (£4.99)
I received both the pink shade ‘Rosette’ and the white shade ‘Cloud 9’ which I am yet to use. But a little goes a long way with this lip stain, as you may already know, I tend to shy away from anything besides lip balms, but I really like the pink shade with my skin tone, it was very easy to use and long lasting. I may consider repurchasing if I ever decide to spend money on lip products 😉

Mineral Face SPF 20 Unscented

Coola- Mineral Face SPF20 Unscented (£29.99)
Not a big user of sun screen, but I did take it along with me on my travels and used it daily. It was quite streaky on the face but light and 100% scent free. Does what it says on the bottle so I can’t complain too much.

Overall, not the best box, only one product really stood out for me, some of the other products available for this month seem much more exciting. It wasn’t worth much either, only two full size items, could this be because I secured this box with my glossydots? Let’s hope not, but summer holiday requirements have urged me to temporarily cancel my subscription, once the august products are released I might be persuaded to resubscribe.3/10
Till then, enjoy!
